UPDF Offers 50 Heads Of Cattle for Tarehe Sita Celebrations in Nakaseke

Brig Gen Jackson Mulondo the Deputy Chief of Logistics and Enginerring in UPDF who is also in charge of supplies at the Tarehe sita celebrations, has called upon the people of greater Luwero to come up in big numbers for Tarehe Sita to be held celebrations tomorrow 6th of February 2020 at Butalangu grounds in Nakaseke district.

Brig Mulondo said this while handing over 50 heads of cattle for slaughtering to feed thousands of people expected to turn up for Tarehe Sita celebrations.

"This is a symbolic activity to appreciate the wanainchi for the contribution they made during the liberation struggle which brought about the current stability and tranquility" said Brig Mulondo.

He said, he is expecting visitors to stay for more than seven hours at the function, so he needed to feed them fully to eat and drink.

Meanwhile the veterinary officer of Nakaseke District Dr Steven Kalanzi confirmed the preliminary health examination of the animals and declared them ready for consumption in line with their health and age.

In another development, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Mr Nakaseke district Mr John Katitoroma thanked the UPDF leadership for considering Nakaseke District to hold the Tarehe Sita celebrations.

Katotoroma added that, UPDF has assisted in putting up class room structures, medical camps during the civil military structures within some districts of great Luweero.
He called upon the residents to turn up for Tarehe sita celebrations on the 6th Feb 2020.
