Defence Minister meets EU Ambassador

The Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs, Hon Adolf Mwesige, has this morning Tuesday 24 October, 2017 met the European Union Head of Delegation Ambassador H.E Attilio Pacifici.
During the meeting at the MODVA/ UPDF Headquarters – Mbuya, they discussed a number of issues including security within the region, influx of refugees, situation in South Sudan and DR Congo as well as Uganda’s commitment to bring peace in parts of Africa.

Ugandan Defence Officials  meets EU Ambassador
The Ambassador commended UPDF for helping to stabilize the region especially Somalia under AMISOM.

The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen David Muhoozi, requested H.E Attilio Pacifici to be part of the international community effort to finance the building of capacity of Somali National Forces.
Present in the meeting were the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs Ms Rossette Byengoma, the Joint Chief of Staff Maj Gen Joseph Musanyufu, and the Defence Spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire.
